I like it.
Jolie thinks it is unoriginal and sounds like every other RH song nowadays. She says that I'm too much of Radiohead fanboy, willing to like anything they put out.
I think it has beautiful chords... I also like the vocal melody.
I can't get my head around Jonny's guitar part, but it's interesting and growing on me.

yeah, maybe you frouse and Jolie have a point. But I do really enjoy the new music. I've listened to TKOL a lot since it was released, and I love it.

i like Staircase. it's a good song. it comes with some added excitement of a new upcoming from the basement announcement so it's a little hard to be objective at first. i like the guitar and overall instrumentation.
listening to the Lawrence project now. hopefully one of these arrangements will strike the right chord with me. it's hard to explain what i expect from jazz.

The Park Stage tends not to get much TV coverage (I suspect none at all in previous years - likely to stay the same this time). There should be a good radio recording, but as the set will clash with Fleet Foxes and Morrissey, might not be broadcast live. Mix of TKOL and greatest hits expected in their 75 minutes.
Incidentally, Butters and I live pretty close on either side of the festival. It's half an hour's drive from my house. A shame to miss them, but less of a shame to miss the Park Stage mud - a rain storm is imminent and the Park is about as messy as Glastonbury gets.

I forget - was there a good recording of last year's Thom/Jonny set? It's on the same stage this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if the band specifically chose a stage where they could escape the media circus.
Sounds like they've gained a live member in Clive Deamer - when did Radiohead last have additional members on stage?

Obviously it's unacceptable to show the stunt and actual Phils at the same time, hence the embargo on video coverage of the performance. It all falls into place.

Also as suggested:
@bbcglasto: "Radiohead told us that they wanted their set to be a special live moment for fans. They didn't want it to be filmed. Apols."

as the set will clash with ... Morrissey... i'm sure morrissey isn't one to get all pissy about being upstaged by radiohead. oh wait. yes he is!! i bet the backstage drama is delicious. at least as much as possible between two vegetarians.

I love the way that Clive Deamer also chooses to wear a suit while drumming, has gentle mannerisms just like phil, is bald with a similar head shape to Phils...
I'm not sure what this means. but there is definitely something weird going on here.
